How to convert JPG to PNG on Mac

On a Mac computer you can use the Preview image and PDF viewer as a PNG converter.

Open your JPG file in the Preview app
Click File – Export
Choose a file name and location to save the converted PNG file
In the Format menu, select PNG. Then hit Save
